There is only one manyfacturer of ugly contemporary stainless steel registers ( http://www.hartandcooley.com/grd/HC-100/residential/f...

They have a frame with a diamond patterned grill and a single lever at the top to open or close the register. The others in our house were on...

My contractor threw out a 8 x 10 inch wall register that I need to replace. it is angled and wider toward the floor. It had a lever to adjust the flow. Does anyone know a specific source for old registers of this era? Many thanks.

The regester space is 16 inches long and 51/2 inches wide, we have looked everywhere but we can not find a register to fit. The house was built in the 50s so it would seem that this type of register would not be hard to find. thank you Jamie
