I just removed approx 5+ squares of metal shingles from my pre 1900 house and wondered if anyone could use these. They have been removed and are slightly bent from removal. E-Bay has a 1920 roofing book that displays them.

I am looking for used/reclaimed/salvaged corrugated tin siding or roofing pieces. They need to be old and rusty. Preferable unpainted. I am looking for approximately 100 pieces of 2 x 8 sections. I am in Southern California near Los Angeles. Any help would be appreciated.

We are rebuilding the front wrap-around porch on an early 1900s Victorian style house. When the old porch was removed the shingles were sold. Does anyone know of any company that is duplicating the old FULL ACORN pattern of metal roofing shingles?

I believe dry removal may be the only way to do it. The other concern should be the use of asbestos in both the flooring and the mastic (adhesive) that was used to put it down. I think asbestos was used in almost all flooring materials through the 70s and used in adhesives through the early 80s. The...

Hi: You do not include enough info for the un-seeing to decide. What is above the 4x4s, and below? What is the roofing material? Do you expect the 4x4s to show when you are finished? There are sheets of Styrofoam with Aluminum foil on both sides that are made to be cut to exactly fit in those type o...
