I am in the process of removing the asbestos siding from my house and installing new vinyl siding. I have removed the old siding as carefully as possible - and have several pieces of the scalloped bottom siding in 2 different patterns. One has a woodgrain pattern and is 12 x 27. Weather Side siding would be perfect replacement for your asbestos siding (same size - vitually indistinguishable texture/shape). Recently did a similar project - went well. Take precaution in removing - breakage/cutting can release asbestos fibers. Good idea to keep it wet when working and buy a qu...

I dont really have a reply, but more of a question about someone who has slate/asbestos siding. We are considering purchasing a home with this type of siding and it worries me. Is it a health hazard? Or what is the proper way of removing it? I kind of freak out about these types of things and I just...

Thanks for the advice on the WeatherSide fiber-cement siding. Their Emphasis Siding is an exact replica of the asbestos siding I have on the addition to my 1910 four-square. Unfortunately my roof is also covered in an asbestos slate tile which looks like an exact reproduction of the clicca per ingra...

They really would rather it be on a house not being disturbed than have to dispose of it (plus disposal is very expensive). Once ...
