Wash in warm water using mild soap or detergent.
Soaking pans in strong detergents, alkalies, and alkaline
scouring powders causes discoloration. Do not use even
mild alkali, such as baking soda to soak aluminum pans.
Do not use harsh abrasives or scouring powders.
Plain aluminum utensils can be washed in the
dishwasher, but may darken. Place in rack where no
undissolved detergent can fall on it. Removing at end of
final rinse and towel-drying may reduce darkening.
Special Finish
Never wash anodized colored aluminum, nor the
professional type utensils with a hard gray finish in
the dishwasher as they may be damaged permanently.
